A habitation check is like an MOT but for the living area of your campervan, motorhome or caravan. As well as a key safety requirement, it is a preventative measure to identify any concerns early before they are left to manifest into bigger, more expensive problems to fix later.
Safety is the priority. You have gas, electricity and water all together in a moving vehicle so the scope for things to go wrong is huge! We will check all of your systems onboard to ensure that your vehicle is safe to use.
The preventative element is about identifying issues like damp ingress or poor battery performance so that your systems don’t fail on your next trip, but we also diagnose problems that get gradually worse and can end up being very expensive to fix.
The habitation check takes around 4 hours to complete and takes place at our depot in Leeds (58 Commercial Road, LS5 3AQ).
We will provide you with a full habitation check report, highlighting any concerns, but as with any impartial habitation check company, we will not conduct repairs. The reason that habitation check companies operate like this is so that we have nothing to gain from highlighting faults to you as we will not then be able to charge you for us to repair them. This makes us completely impartial. There are repair centers which you can then take your vehicle to, along with your report, if you want them to conduct any specific repair.
We can install a 100w flexi solar panel to your campervan roof. These are the exact same solar panels that we fit to our own conversions, chosen for their quality and optimum power rating. We therefore don’t fit any other solar panel.
This panel is capable of meeting a wide range of applications where standard panels can be inconvenient to mount, perfect for campervans and motorhomes.
Thanks to advanced polymer materials, this product weighs 70% less than conventional solar panels.
Super Thin Lamination
Hardly noticeable, the Renogy 100W Lightweight Panel laid flat is only a tenth of an inch tall! Approximately 95% thinner than its rigid counterpart, this panel is ideal for a stealthy solar setup
Rigorously tested, the 100W panel was designed to withstand extreme wind of up to 2400 Pa and snow loads of up to 5400 Pa
The solar panel includes the MPPT controller to plug straight into your battery.
It takes us up to 2 days to install therefore we need to receive the vehicle in the morning, fit it and let the solar panel set overnight to be ready for collection the next day.
We can install an Austop slimline pop-top roof with scenic canvas to your VW T5-T6.1 van. The roof can be colour matched and you have a choice of colour for the canvas too. These are the pop-top roofs that we fit to our own campervans and we would not fit any other type – these are the best!
The roof comes with the pull-down bed which we can carpet for free. We can also upgrade the underside of the bed to any image you provide (provided it is high enough resolution) for £699.
As each roof is made to design, it can take up to 6 weeks to get your roof in stock. Once we have it, we will need your van for up to 5 days to install. The roof comes with a 5 year warranty.
We can transform your VWT5-T6.1 campervan to make it dual-toned on the outside! We are approved fitters of SplitKits which is the wrap we fit to all of our own conversions and truly looks amazing! Pick from 60 different colours.
The wrap not only looks great but helps protect the vehicle. If any one area gets damaged you can always replace the component part quickly and cheaply. You can even change the colour of your van again and again! The design includes a small bleed around the edge of each section giving it a cool transformer look!
When you make your order with us we will ask you to pick your colour and make payment. It can take up to 3 weeks to get the exact colour in stock. We then need two days to complete the wrap. This gives us time to fully clean the vehicle before application of the wrap.
We can upgrade your VWT5-T6.1 double passenger seat to a single passenger swivel seat. The price includes the seat, base, swivel mechanism and upholstery (fabric or leatherette) to match your existing seats.
Once paid in full, we require you to bring your VW T5-T6.1 campervan to us. This is to take a small section of the existing bed or seat for us to use as a sample to colour match and get the exact same pattern. We then send this sample off to our upholsterer.
It then takes up to 6 weeks to get your new seat upholstered.
We will then invite you in a second time for us to remove your current seat and fit your new one. This can be done in a day.
