If you’d rather explore below you than climb high above, head to the nearby Blue John Cavern home to eight varieties of Blue John Stone. Mined for centuries, the cavern is full of narrow mining passageways and old mining equipment – and eight of the fourteen known varieties of Blue John Stone. The caves are an Edale treasure, perfect for history enthusiasts, geologists and caving lovers.
