Millions of refugees are fleeing the war in Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands of British families have offered up their rooms to refugees. GOAT Roadtrip are matching refugees to host families and transporting them one thousand miles to the UK. 

We have a field team in Poland which is matching Ukrainian refugees with UK host families under the new ‘Homes for Ukraine’ Scheme. We are operating from the Caritas charity centre in Lublin as well as refugee reception centres on the Ukraine border.

We interview refugees, match them with UK hosts, help them in submitting their visa application and then once accepted, we issue them with train tickets to get to the UK.

Our CEO Kevin and volunteer Oli have left Leeds on 18 March and are set up in Poland. By 4 June, we have matched and processed over 100 visa applications. Many Ukrainians are now living in the Leeds area thanks to the work of GOAT Roadtrip.
